What we collect
We collect only what we need to sell you a website and keep it running:
- Contact details you give us: name, business name, email, phone, service area.
- Order details: which listing you bought, when, and the domain involved.
- Enquiry messages you send through the contact form.
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and time, kept for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not collect
We never see or store your card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your card details go directly to them. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run third party analytics scripts on this site, and we do not set marketing cookies.
Why we hold it
- To build, launch and support your website
- To register your domain, which requires giving your details to the registrar
- To bill you and keep records the tax office requires
- To reply when you contact us
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
We share the minimum necessary with:
- Stripe, for payment processing
- The domain registrar, because registering a domain in your name requires your details
- Our hosting provider, which stores the server the site runs on
Some of these providers operate overseas, which means your details may be stored or processed outside Australia.
How long we keep it
Contact and order records are kept for seven years, which is what Australian tax law requires. Server logs are kept for 90 days. Contact form messages that do not turn into an order are deleted after 12 months.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Access to customer records is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affected your information we would tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@websiteasap.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies
This site uses one cookie, and only when you open the contact page: a session cookie that stops the form being abused. It expires when you close your browser. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
